SO... it took me a few days to recover and get this update on the blog from Sunday night!
Here is a run down update from Sunday:
* it was an amazing evening of great worship, rockin tunes, and the beginning of God working on the campus of UMW.
* this was the first time to our knowledge that a church has ever met on the campus of UMW!
* we had a great turnout for our first time on campus.
* none of our production planning really happened the way we had planned but everything went very smoothly!
* there were DEFINITELY students at UNITE UMW that would never step foot into a church
* we got a ton of positive feedback from students and community guests
* It was so awesome to minister together with my beautiful Mia!
* Liz from The Gathering Club put in a tremendous amount of effort to make this event a possibility!
* Taja Winston did an amazing job on her Spoken Word original poetry!
* The UMW Breakers break dancing club killed it - wish I could do that...
* I don't know what it will look like as we move forward but I do know that the door has been opened.
* Many volunteers put in a very long day to make this happen, several of which setup at our Chancellor campus.
* Thanks to the following attack-anything-and-make-it-happen-no-matter-the-cost-volunteers:
Phil "The Machine" Green, Mike Cairns, Willie Rowe, Becca Rowe, David "CPap" Gregory, Chris Gregory, Joanne Duncan, Kristen Schlee, many from our Chancellor Campus Band, and our normal Downtown Crew! I can't thank you enough for the effort you gave!
