What a great week it has been. I got to take some much needed time off to be with my best friend Mia! We had an amazing week with our family and friends in Richmond. More on that later...
Tonight I am in the zone... I will be preaching tomorrow morning at Lifepoint and am super pumped about the way God gave me this message. Much like design, a good Word from God is organic. It takes shape and form best when you let go of the reigns. Again, as always, God hits me first before He can use me.
Please be in prayer for me tomorrow... if you are planning on coming to Lifepoint in the morning, ask God to open your hearts. Much love...
If you cant come to Lifepoint in the morning, we'll see you on itunes later in the week!
I did this design for our upcoming sermon series on our 4 C's. Series begins January 6th, 2008!
Yesterday the staff men decided to take half a day to do some male-bonding. We truly believe that the closer we are as family - the stronger our ministry will become. Women bond my talking with each other, and men bond by blowing stuff up! The part that stinks is that Pastor Daniel wasn't feeling well and so he couldn't join us.
Our friend Eul is a Federal Game Warden at Quantico base. He had a buddy from work give us a major tour and some free fun! First we started off touring the FBI training facility. No pictures from there because it is highly secure. I managed to snap a few off but I would have to kill you if you saw them... - nah, jk!
This main building cost many millions and has 5,000 different configurations for hostage recover training. The walls were lined with ballistic paneling and were laden with bullet holes. They can configure this room to look like office buildings, banquet halls, or anything they want. There was even the interior of an airplane to train in. It was all so amazing. I can believe all of the FBI trains there.
After the tour, we got to go shoot some pretty major stuff. Euls friend is in charge of weapons for FBI. All agents in the US send their stuff to this guy to fix it or maintain it...
So here are some shots of our shooting. The first gun we shot was a old-school gangster Tommy Gun, the second was an Uzzi, and the last was an MP5K. G1, G2, and G3 all in the same day! What a blast. Ammo sure doesnt last long in the magazines of fully automatic weapons!
We ended the day eating some greasy burgers at one of our local joints. Pastor Daniel was able to join us for that. No photos of that because the burgers didn't last long...
On the pics, notice the spray from the empty bullets. Some of the pics you can see 6 empty shells.
