Hello everyone! My name is Caedmon Joshua Lazar. My parents tell me you can call me Caed (pronounced, Cade). I was born on January 29, 2008 at 8:35 pm. I weighed in at 7pounds and 13ounces! I think I weigh a little less than that now because I poop a lot already! What can I say? I take after…

Right about now, I am just about 48 hours old!!!

My Mommy and Daddy love me very much and are so happy to have me in their family! My Mommy is the best one in the whole world… it took her 19 hours to let me come out and play. My Daddy did a good job too, but Mommy told me she did all the work!

I am a healthy little boy! I look forward to meeting all of you out there. I got to meet the people that are closest to me though! Daddy told me that they waited all day at the hospital just to meet me. I guess they really love me already!

I got to come home today and see my new home. It’s much bigger than the place I have been staying for the last few months! I also got to meet my puppy named Oscar! I think he looks weird!

Below are a few pictures of me… so enjoy. I haven’t decided which is my best side yet! Keep checking back for updates on my life journey!

6 Days...

Caedmon is due in 6 days... Mia and I can't wait to meet this little dude! Mia is doing well. She had her last day of teaching yesterday so now she can finally just relax! If he doesn't come early, she will have all next week to do nothing! Today we finish everything in the house and the "nesting" is finished!

We'll keep you posted!

takin' it to the streets...

I saw something today that made me smile. You know, the really big kind of smile?

I was on my way to a lunch meeting when I saw one of our volunteers living out the vision of Lifepoint Church. Not in a Sunday morning environment. Not on a "service project." Simply put... they were living out Jesus in the streets.

This person does not know that I observed them in action. I saw this person out of their car talking with what looked like a homeless woman with all of her belongings in a "borrowed" shopping cart. I knew immediately that there was ministry taking place. I smiled.

How often have we found ourselves with that twinge to stop and help someone, only to be quickly overcome with the whole "I have to be at a ministry meeting so I can change the world" idea? We were to meet to talk about one of the biggest events our area has ever seen! However, for this one person, that was her event. That was her moment. That is what she needed. That is what this ministry volunteer took to heart and not just practiced lip service to the gospel but gave it wings!

Question to ask... "who can I stop and minister to?" Or are our lives to busy saving the world?
