I put this post in the category of family because it deals with our spiritual family.

Many of you are aware but I wanted to ask prayer for those that are not...

Jeremy's son Wyatt was taken to the hospital last night with some serious illness related issues. He is doing much better today and will get back to normal in the next few days.

Please join us in one prayer and one heartbeat as we life them up in prayer:
    Wyatt - his little body would heal quickly!
    Jeremy - that he would be the rock for his family and strength for Jenifer
    Jen - that she would have an overwhelming peace from God!

I hope this post was acceptable from their family, but i know they appreciate your hundreds and even thousands of prayers!

Sunday night recap...

Church was great last night! We had a blast at our cookout!
Some quick hits...

* got to cookout on the sidewalk downtown in the city! lots of fun!
* our leadership team really did a great job with this one!
* Oliver is a freak on the grill... amazing burgers... makes his own seasoning!
* got to feed people walking through the city on their way somewhere else and expose them to how we roll
* one lady kept asking us "why would you give away food for free?"
    because we want to share the Love of Jesus in a practical way and because we love our community!
* one guy came looking for the all gay and lesbian church - it wasn't us - didn't know there was one in town
    I hope he comes back! Jesus loves everyone!
* had our first guy ever to come in a suit - he is new to the area - came by because he saw the cookout and stayed the entire night!
* had a lot of new faces last night!
* We had to add three rows of chairs to fit everyone!
* The Loft was extremely hot last night...
* last night was our college students last night with us for the summer... bummer!
* preached about LOVE in the purest form...
* 3 people accepted JESUS!!!

saturday night recap...

so tonight Mia and I went to our friends Izzy and Marty's house for an authentic crawfish boil. Now keep in mind I have never had crawfish until tonight! It was amazing...

Check this out... they had 75 pounds of crawfish flown in from Louisiana. And... they were live as they dropped them into the boiling pots... It was so great... No utensils straight off of the newspaper!

My hands have been washed several times and they still smell like crawfish and are stained yellow. Now that's good eatin'. Tonights party was to celebrate Marty's return from service in Iraq. Thank you to all of you who serve for our country! May God bless you and your families!

summer is in the air...

I know this is Spring, but today feels like summer! I love this weather. If you know me you know I love the warm weather! I guess after four years in Florida it ruined me! I would much rather it be 90 and humid than  cold any day! Today is like in the 80's. I had to run some errands today and loved cruisin down 95 with the windows open and the sun roof back! Aahhh... it makes me miss my Jeep!

I can't wait for tomorrow night! We are doing a big cookout at Church. I will be teaching on LOVE... everyone's favorite topic. I have really enjoyed this series so far! I have had lots of comments and emails from people saying how real and helpful this has been!

Please be praying for us tomorrow night! I will be ending with a call for people to give their lives to Jesus! It doesn't get any more series than that! I'll post the wins afterward!

Tonight were going to some friends for an authentic New Orleans crawfish boil... paper and fingers only!

creative chaos...

todays post in creative chaos is this:

our staff had the opportunity today to travel to Charlottesville to attend a Church planters network meeting. Today, we had the opportunity to share our entire church's creative process with other church planters.

We shared our structure and why do things the way we do. We shared the entire process from start to finish about the way we do it.

It was a great meeting. I felt like some people benefited and we were able to be encouraged by what others were doing. For now, I wont share the entire process, but maybe someday soon I will!

Someone was spoken into your lives and ministries and you have grown and learned from them...
Question: how are you returning the favor by multiplying the creative end of the Kingdom?

weekend recap...

so, here is the recap of this past weekend:

* went to Lynchburg for Mia's friend who was having a wedding shower
* Got to watch Caedmon by myself all day Saturday. I have a new appreciation, love, and respect for what Mia does every day. Taking care of children and a home is a huge job... 24:7!
* Sunday morning was great
* 30 salvations Sunday morning!
* DIVE set looked incredible
* Motion Water lighting element was a huge hit
* Great things coming...

* Sunday night went awesome at our Downtown campus!
* Great energy Sunday night
* Our band keeps getting better and better each week!
* I am so proud of Brandon and the band for the hard work they are putting in and the "product" they are delivering!
* I got a lot of great feedback from our topic Sunday night: RELATIONSHIPS! It seemed to connect with a lot of our people!
* We had 1 salvation on Sunday night!
* God is moving at that campus...

* I am super exciting about the direction God is taking us!
* Looking forward to this week!
